Did you know that physical exercise causes orgasms in women?

An American study conducted by the Center for the Promotion of Sexual Health at the University of Indiana states that some exercises performed by women can cause orgasms.

That’s right, according to the study, these types of orgasms are known as “coregasm”, due to their association with exercises that involve the central abdominal muscles, explains Debby Herbenick, co-author of the study and co-director of the Center for the Promotion of Sexual Health of the University of Indiana (USA).

This study took as sample more than 350 women between 18 and 63 years old. The researchers found in them that the exercise certainly caused orgasms. Of this sample, 51 percent of orgasms were produced by doing abdominal crunches, followed by weightlifting exercises (26.5%), yoga (20%), cycling (15.8%), running (13, 2%) and walking (9.6%).

“These data are interesting because they suggest that an orgasm is not necessarily a sexual event”, concludes Herbenick. It is unknown how often this phenomenon occurs in women and why physical exercise can induce these pleasant sensations, but the truth is that pleasure lives in us. We expect more interesting results that will come up from the deepening of this issue.
