How to reduce intestinal inflammation in patients with Biopolymers

In the bodies of people with biopolymers, factors such as blood circulation (venous return), proper absorption of nutrients, inflammation, sleep hygiene, will be compromised by presenting alterations which result in discomfort that compromise daily personal performance.

Microbiota

Microbiota

The microbiota is involved in more than twenty thousand biological functions, most of them related to digestion, it has a connection with the intestine and in turn with the brain through the vagus nerve for the production of cytokines, neurotransmitters or short chain fatty acids (acetate, propionate and butyrate), the latter being responsible for the maintenance of the intestine and in turn for the anti-inflammatory response. An inadequate lifestyle, consumption of high-fat foods, processed foods, nutrient deficiency (vitamin D), nutritional excesses, overweight, type 2 diabetes, sedentary lifestyle and high levels of stress produce intestinal inflammation, the latter is a factor that disturbs the functioning of hormones and metabolism in general. The use of antibiotics implies the delay in the colonization of beneficial microorganisms that promote at the same time the entry of pathogens potentially harmful to intestinal health, their frequent use stimulates dysbiosis, opening the possibility of a subsequent obese syndrome. When the degree of dysbiosis is higher and one suffers from SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), health problems will increase exponentially. These are some of the diseases associated with SIBO:

Fibromyalgia, studies show a high percentage of people with fibromyalgia associated with SIBO. Fatty liver, deep vein thrombosis, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, type 2 diabetes and hypothyroidism. Many of the aforementioned conditions are related to the reaction triggered by biopolymers, which is why repopulating the intestinal flora in advance (3-4 days) is essential before ingesting probiotic foods that contribute to the reduction of some symptoms. Prebiotic and probiotic foods should be included to maintain proper intestinal health, as their contributions to health are abundant and effective.

Symptoms of intestinal dysbiosis:

  • Diarrhea alternating with constipation
  • Abdominal distention
  • Excessive gas
  • Disturbances in digestion
  • Edemas
  • Headache
  • Tendency to infections (patients with biopolymers have been found to be more vulnerable to infectious episodes)
  • Feeling of tiredness without previous cause
  • Skin disorders, acne and continuous itching

Foods to avoid in intestinal dysbiosis:

  • Foods rich in animal protein: red meat (decrease of protective - beneficial bacteria)
  • Foods with added sugars: cookies - cereals - biscuits and cakes
  • Processed foods with emulsifiers: industrial bread - chocolate - ice cream - margarines - processed meat (especially sausages)
  • Light" foods and beverages
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Medications such as antibiotics

Treatment

For the treatment of dysbiosis it is important the acquisition and maintenance of the microbiota through healthy habits, a balanced diet and good restful sleep cycles, will be aspects that promote the secretion of serotonin, called happiness hormone, a transcendental organic component for the restoration of physical and mental health.

The diet should include at least 10 types of vegetables, vegetables, fruits and fermented foods per week such as: carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sauerkraut, kimchi, tempeh, kombucha, onion, chicory root, flax seeds and chia seeds. Foods with antioxidants such as vitamins A, C and E, selenium and quercetin.

Likewise, the elimination of sugars and flours, the order in chrononutrition (meal schedules), the search for more natural foods, the preparation of foods maintaining their nutritional quality, the integration of new ingredients with their multiple benefits and the correct absorption of nutrients, will allow a regulation in the inflammatory response, forging the repair and formation of new cells that intervene on the intestinal well-being and subsequently in a better projection of the general health.

When the inflammatory response is permanent, the function of other organs, including the brain, may be altered.

Antibiotics, laxatives, anxiolytics, antidepressants, iron salts and oral contraceptives can be promoters of intestinal dysbiosis.
